Hav Joy, a Pune-based ice cream brand, approached our agency, Expand Buzz, with an exciting challenge: to launch their ice cream line with five distinct flavors in a highly competitive market. Pune’s ice cream scene was already crowded with established national and local players offering various flavors and innovative products. Hav Joy needed more than just delicious ice cream—they needed a brand identity to make them stand out.

The founders of Hav Joy wanted their ice cream to be perceived as premium yet accessible, combining quality with affordability. Their goal was to capture the attention of young adults and families who appreciate fun, flavourful, and indulgent treats. They emphasized that while they were proud of their ice cream’s taste, they needed help creating a brand experience to attract and retain customers.

The Challenge

-Hav Joy’s primary challenge was differentiation. With so many ice cream brands on the market, more than simply having good products was needed. They needed to create a memorable brand that resonated with in-store and online customers.

-Expand Buzz was tasked with crafting a comprehensive strategy that would highlight the five unique flavors and establish Hav Joy as a fun, dynamic, and premium brand in Pune.

Our Approch

-We prioritized creating a robust and memorable brand identity for Hav Joy. We conducted an in-depth market analysis of existing ice cream brands in Pune and beyond, identifying gaps in their messaging and opportunities for Hav Joy to stand out.

-We positioned Hav Joy as an ice cream brand that celebrated the joy of indulgence. The name “Hav Joy” was full of potential, hinting at fun, excitement, and the sheer pleasure of enjoying ice cream.

-To build on this, we developed a vibrant, playful brand persona that would appeal to young adults looking for fun and families seeking a treat for everyone.

-The visual identity incorporated Vibrant colors with splashes, highlighting and defining the unique flavors.

-It was interactive, with photo booths, games, and contests that encouraged people to share their experiences on social media. We knew the packaging had to stand out in a crowded freezer section. Expand Buzz designed packaging that was as fun and appealing as the brand.

-Each flavor was represented by a unique character that was both playful and visually striking. The colorful packaging was designed to grab attention, while the branding maintained consistency across all touchpoints.

The Final Result: A Sweet Success

-Our efforts to create an excellent design paid off. Hav Joy quickly built a loyal customer base, with many customers praising the unique flavors and fun branding.

-By carefully crafting a brand that resonated with the people of Pune, we turned Hav Joy into a beloved ice cream brand that continues to grow and thrive.
