Grandma Nurtures, a Pune-based brand, stands out with its specialization in natural and healthy baby foods and postpartum nutrition for new mothers. What sets us apart is our unique selling proposition-our recipe creation process, led by our grandmother, an Ayurvedic doctor and certified nutritionist. These recipes, steeped in Ayurveda’s ancient wisdom, ensure that babies and new mothers receive wholesome, nutritious, and balanced meals.

The client, Grandma Nurtures, sought our expertise for a branding and packaging design solution that would resonate with modern moms seeking trustworthy, healthy baby food alternatives. The brand’s essence is deeply rooted in traditional Ayurvedic recipes handed down through generations, and they wanted this heritage to be reflected in a minimalistic yet compelling visual identity.

The Challenge

1. The client approaches us with the following challenges. They specifically requested a design approach that:

  • Attracted new moms through simplicity and elegance.
  • Communicated trust, safety, and tradition.
  • Highlighted the natural, high-quality ingredients used in their products.
  • Featured packaging designs that used soft pastel colors, promoting a nurturing and calm feeling.
  • It included visual elements such as clean imagery that complemented the brand’s story of care and natural wellness.

2. The goal was to ensure that every mom who picks our products instantly feels connected with the brand’s promise of health, tradition, and uncompromised quality for themselves and their babies.

Our Approch

-To achieve the desired result, we broke the project into several phases, each focusing on different aspects of the brand’s identity, ensuring that each detail represented the essence of Grandma Nurtures.

-We first conducted research to deeply understand new mothers’ mindsets, concerns, and what they look for when choosing baby food products. We discovered that trust and safety are paramount in baby nutrition. Therefore, every brand element had to communicate authenticity, care, and reliability.

-Grandma Nurtures wanted a minimalist approach, but we knew minimalism had to be balanced with messaging power. We developed a design strategy focused on soft pastel colors that evoke calm, safety, and warmth. These colors resonate well with the emotional state of new moms who seek peace and care for their babies.

-We elegantly incorporated a wooden signboard displaying the message, “Crafted by Grandmother – An Ayurvedic Doctor and Certified Nutritionist,” directing attention towards the product image. This visual element seamlessly aligns with the brand’s theme, effectively showcasing its authenticity and commitment to tradition.
-We used minimalist typography to make the packaging easy to read, especially for moms juggling multiple responsibilities. The design was simple yet purposeful, drawing attention to the wholesome ingredients and the products’ Ayurvedic heritage.

Final Result

-We created a simple yet powerful brand identity. The soft pastel color palette and clear and concise typography helped build an emotional connection with new moms.

-The design evoked warmth and trust, symbolizing the nurturing care that every mother desires for her child. The packaging, featuring clean, minimalistic imagery of Ayurvedic ingredients, allowed the brand to communicate its traditional roots while feeling fresh and modern.

-We successfully communicated the brand’s core message: “Nurtured by Ayurveda, crafted with love.” The design celebrated healthy, natural ingredients, showcasing the Ayurvedic wisdom behind each recipe. By emphasizing the grandmother’s role as an Ayurvedic doctor, we helped build trust with consumers, making them feel confident in the brand’s expertise in nutrition.

-The minimalist yet engaging design caught the eye of new moms, while the soft pastels and natural imagery created a sense of calm and nurturing.
